The Big Easy Elite Club would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the teams, staff and supporters who contributed to making the 2011 2nd Annual Spartan Classic a huge success. There was great competition across all age groups, including some outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship. Teams traveled from across the country to play against some exceptional local talent.

Planning is already underway for the 3rd Annual Spartan Classic, so mark your calendars to join us next summer for an even bigger and better event.

We look forward to welcoming teams back to New Orleans and wish all players much success in the upcoming school year.

2011 2nd Annual Spartan Classic Friday Updates

Please double check the updated schedule of events here.  We have added a second venue to the 2011 2nd Annual Spartan Classic. We are excited to announce that Landry L B High School has been added as second venue in addition to the Alario Center. Please make sure your team is at the right location 30 minutes prior to scheduled tip-off.

AGE GROUPS: 3rd Grade thru 11th Grade
ENTRY FEE: $300*
ENTRY DEADLINE: June 14, 2011
AWARDS: First and Second place trophies
FORMAT: 3 Game minimum. Pool Play followed by bracket play
RULES: Tournament will follow current AAU Rules
ENTRY FEES PAYABLE TO: Big Easy Elite Club

  • This event is sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U. S., Inc.
  • All participants must have a current AAU membership.
  • AAU membership may not be included as part of the entry fee to the event.
  • AAU membership must be obtained before the competition begins except where the event operator has a laptop available with an internet connect. Participants are encouraged to visit the AAU web site www.aausports.org to obtain their membership.

 

$300 is based on a single team entry.
